PURPOSE:To shorten a brake time during a drop, by a method wherein when wheel speed information inputted from a wheel speed sensor exceeds pseudo-car body speed information, control of energization of both a pressure valve and a pressure reducing valve is stopped during a set time. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality, where a pressure reducing valve continues an opening state and a liquid pressure in a brake device is excessively reduced, occurs and a wheel speed is increased over a pseudo-car body speed, control of a current is immediately stopped. A pressure valve is opened, a pressure reducing valve is closed, a control liquid pressure from a master cylinder is fed to a brake device as it is, and a wheel speed is rapidly decreased to bring a wheel into a lock state. After elapse of a set time, for example, 0.15 sec commencing in a stop of control of a current, control of a current is restored, a liquid pressure in a brake device is started to decrease, and a wheel speed is increased by virtue of a road surface reaction force. When a wheel exceeds a pseudo-car body speed, control of a current is stopped again, and a wheel is brought into a lock state in a similar manner described above. Through repetition of the above motions, a car body is reduced at deceleration approximately similar to a pseudo-car body speed.
