In delivering a mineral wool web by means of a shuttle conveyor 4, the object is to deliver the primary web 2 as close as possible to the receiving conveyor 13, so that the primary web 2 is rapidly affixed to the underlying web. The guide rollers 5, 6 at the delivery end, rotating in the delivery direction, have a disruptive effect in such a close delivery. The leading guide roller 5 in the direction of movement turns in a direction that has a negative, lifting effect on the underlying web, whilst the rear guide roller 6 rotates in a direction, which presses the web under delivery down, which is advantageous for the delivery. In order to reduce the negative effect and enhance the positive effect, the two conveyors of the shuttle conveyor are designed vertically displaceable in relation to one another, the leading guide roller being located higher and the rear guide roller lower during the shuttle movement. The transfer takes place essentially in the final position of the shuttle movement. The change-over can occur instantaneously or gradually throughout the shuttle movement. <IMAGE>
