PURPOSE:To obtain the titled thin steel plate having less ribbing, by hot rolling a ferritic stainless slab with the rolling reduction and the circumferential speed ratio between upper and lower rolls being specified. CONSTITUTION:The ferric stainless steel slab containing preferably 0.08-0.5% of SolAl and 0.03% or more of C is subjected to hot rolling with the circumferential speed ratio between the rolls being 5% or more and the rolling reduction being 20% or more. Then the hot rolled material obtained is, without being subjected to hot rolling annealing, subjected to cold rolling, and then to final annealing to obtain the ferric stainless thin steel plate excellent in the working properties. In the hot rolling stage for said slab, the heating temperature is preferably 1,200-900 deg.C, and the rough rolling start temperature will lie in said temperature range. |
