PURPOSE:To remove a bridging effectively, by providing several feed pipes for pressurized fluid each having several spouting port within a hopper and spouting a pressurized fluid from said feed pipes, based on the output of powder detectors equally provided in said hopper. CONSTITUTION:When powder is successively discharged through the operation of a rotary velve installed on the discharge outlet 6 of a hopper 1, which contains a certain amount of powder, several powder detectors 14 to 17 provided in upper and lower positions in the hopper 1 are actuated at definite intervals. At this time, if it is detected that a bridge is formed on the inclined bottom area of the hopper 1, e.g., with the detectors 14 and 15 turned to ON respectively and the detectors l6 and 17 either turned to OFF respectively or to ON and OFF, solenoid valves 19a to 19f or 20a to 20f are opened or closed due to a controller 18. Thereby compressed air is allowed to spout out through the nozzles of feed pipes 8a to 8f or 11a to 11f to break up the bridge. |
