Electrical cable, especially for an aircraft, including: - a conducting core 1; - at least one electrically insulating layer 2 having good mechanical strength and arranged over the said conducting core 1; and - at least one protecting layer 3 made of a material which can withstand high temperatures and electric arcs, the said protecting layer 3 being arranged over the insulating layer 2. According to the invention, this cable is characterised in that the said protecting layer 3 carries a thin outer layer 4 applied over the said protecting layer 3 in the form of a liquid, adhering to the said protecting layer 3 and, after drying, being sufficient wettability by ink. Increase in the resistance of the cable to electrical arcs by dispensing with identification marking using hot striking or laser etching. <IMAGE>
