<p>Material is produced by (a) blending an Ag compound which is decomposable to Ag metal and a gaseous reaction product, pref. Ag2O, Ag2CO3, AgNO3 or AgCN, carbon and an ionic conducting solid electrolyte material which contains Ag ions for conduction of current, pref. MAg4I5 where M is K, Rb, NH4 or Cs or combinations thereof, Cs being only a minor component of M, and (b) heating the mixture obtained to an elevated temperature sufficient to reduce the Ag compound.</p> |
