发明名称 OPTICAL INFORMATION SIGNAL RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent danger which calcogen elements such as Te and Se which are toxic from adversely affecting a human body by forming a membrane consisting mainly of Zn and Sb2O3 on a substrate and recording information into the membrane due to variations of its optical properties through heating of Zn contained in the membrane to a specific quantitative range. CONSTITUTION:An optical information signal recording medium consists of main components such as Zn and Sb2O3 and approx. 35 to 45 atomic % of Zn in a membrane. This medium shows a variation of reflection factor which is at least more than 7% by heating, so that an adequate C/N is obtained. If the membrane is composed of Zn which is less toxic than calcogen elements, instead of Te and Se, this optical information signal recording medium shows the same or better advantages compared to the conventional recording medium. For instance, a membrane of Zn and Sb2O3 measuring approx. 1,200 Angstrom in thickness is formed on a glass substrate 1 by means of two-dimensional evaporation. The content of Zn is 39.0 atomic %. Variations of the reflection factor before and after thermal treatment at approx. 200 deg.C are equivalent to the recording of an information signal into a recording medium using a laser beam (wavelength - 830 nm).
