A process for data transmission by means of a geo-stationary satellite and at least one sub-satellite, the sub-satellites being placed on lower orbits. For the transmission of news, at least two data streams with different power/Hz are used, the first data stream, with higher power/Hz being used for linking with the geo-stationary satellite (51) and the other data streams being transmitted by means of PN (pseudo-noise) sequences and being used for linking with the sub-satellites (S2). Two data transmissions thus take place in the same frequency range, but involving different satellites that are both within the visibility range of an earth station. The invention finds particularly appropriate application for the transmission by means of the additional data streams of information necessary to control and/or regulate the exchange of news between satellite-satellite and/or earth-satellite-earth or to control/or regulate the orbit of the satellites. |
