PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation of potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeatingly electrically charging and exposing a photosensitive body by forming a layer containing a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is provided with the photosensitive layer functionally separated into a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer containing as a charge transfer material the compound represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1-R5 is H, alkyl, halogen, or the like, and each of R6-R9 is H or alkyl or optionally substituted aromatic group. The charge transfer layer can be formed by dissolving said compound and a binder, such as polycarbonate, into a desirable solvent, coating the surface of the charge generating layer with the obtained solution, and drying it, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity and small in variances of the potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeatingly electrifying and exposing it. |
