SNOW SHED AND AVALANCHE-BREAKING STRUCTURE MADE OF AT LEAST TWO SNOW SHEDS

A snow shed has a grating made of wooden logs (2) supported on beams (3) anchored by tension in the surface (1) of a slope by tie-rods (10). Props (4) support these beams (3) and are hingedly linked to them by horizontal bolts (5). A diagonal stiffening brace made of wooden logs (6) takes up lateral forces. The logs (2) forming the grating do not extend beyond the sides of the beams (3), so that adjacent snow sheds may be mutually linked without difficulty, thus forming a continuous structure.
