Forward converter with transformer with an input winding connected in series with a circuit breaker and with a first output winding with tight coupling and a second output winding with relatively loose coupling by means of strong scatter (magnetic shunt). The second winding is connected to a load resistor through a rectifier conducting in the switch-on phase of the input circuit and is likewise connected to the load resistor with the first winding in series opposition through a second rectifier conducting in the switch-off phase of the input circuit, whereby a difference formation is achieved with respect to the induced voltages. The input inductance which is effective in series on the primary winding of the transformer is realised by a transformer leakage inductance with respect to its output winding, which inductance is provided for this purpose by means of a suitable transformer structure. <IMAGE>
