PURPOSE:To manufacture a dispersion-strengthened Cu-base alloy excellent in wear resistance, by incorporating specific percentages of Ni, Si, B, and Fe to Cu and also by forming a structure in which Fe-Ni silicide grains are dispersed. CONSTITUTION:The Cu-base dispersion-strengthened alloy which has a composition consisting of, by weight, 5-30% Ni, 1-5% Si, 0.5-3% B, 4-30% Fe, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities and also has a structure in which Fe-Ni silicide grains are dispersed in a Cu-base matrix is prepared. Further, the size and area ratio of dispersion grains are regulated to about 5-1,000mu and about 2-30%, respectively. By welding this Cu-base dispersion-strengthened alloy to the desired part of a metallic substrate by means of laser, etc., required wear resistance can be provided to the above part. |
