The invention relates to a drive device having a drive motor for driving a machine part which simultaneously carries out both a rotating movement and an axial movement, in the case of which device the drive motor (1) has a hollow shaft (3) in whose cavity (5) a drive rod (6) (which rotates with the hollow shaft) is arranged such that it can be displaced axially and on whose end opposite the machine part a transmission element is provided which is coupled to the drive rod (6) with respect to axial movement of said drive rod (6) and is driven by a drive element against a restoring force. Adjustment (which is dependent on a specific operating mode of the device) of the drive rod is achieved in that a ring element (40) is provided as the transmission element. This ring element (40) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the hollow shaft (3) but can move axially with respect thereto and is coupled in the axial direction to a centrifugal force element (42) which carries out an axial drive movement and rotates with the hollow shaft (3). <IMAGE>
