Head arrangement for a hip joint endoprosthesis

There is specified a head arrangement for a hip joint endoprosthesis which has an internal head which can be fastened on a stem part and a spherical shell movably mounted on the internal head. In order to prevent an undesirable drop of the cup on the internal head the internal head possesses an outwardly pointing shoulder, against which the shell comes to rest, adjacent to the stem part.
