PURPOSE:To scrape off easily and efficiently deposits such as tar adhered to the inner surface of a leveling port, by arranging a screw cutter rotatably provided on a movable truck movably in all to directions through a specified bearing apparatus, inserting the cutter movably into the leveling port of an oven lid, and moving it to a desired position. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical screw cutter 7 to be movably inserted into the leveling port H of the lid of a coke oven 1 is rotatably provided on a movable truck 4 through a motor 5 placed on said truck, a rotary driving shaft 6 and a universal joint 10, said truck 4 being movable backward and forward in the direction of the leveling port H of the lid through a hydraulic cylinder 3 on a fixed stand 2 provided on a deck in the front of the lid B. A movable bearing apparatus 11 supporting the rotating shaft 8 of the cutter 7 is constructed from a bearing box 12 horizontally supporting the rotating shaft 8 and a bearing guide frame 13 supporting said box movably in all the directions and freely moved in all to directions by means of a hydraulic cylinder 15 which is fixed to the truck 4 and moves the frame 13 up and down and a hydraulic cylinder 16 which moves the box 12 left and right along the frame 13. The cutter 7 is movably inserted into the leveling port H, rotated and moved along the inner wall of the leveling port H to a desired position to scrape off deposits.
