Cutting unit for paper roll packaging gable discs

The cutting unit has a first knife for cutting the outer contours of the gable discs, which is set at a radial distance from the centre of the table (10). The knife is fed forwards rapidly in a vertical direction towards the disc blands until its point reaches or it immediately above the uppermost blank. Then the knife is fed onwards more slowly so that it manages to cut through 1-10 mm each time the table rotates.
