PURPOSE:To prevent cavitation, by providing a check valve in a piston to open a main flow path in a piston rod at the time of an extension stroke and a check valve in a cylinder to open the flow path at the time of a compression stroke so that a device obtains in whichever stroke it may be the same flow direction. CONSTITUTION:A piston 14, which provides a hollow piston rod 10 and a check valve opened in an extension stroke, opens and closes a main flow path which connects an oil chamber S1 in a cylinder 5 to an oil chamber S3 in the outside. While a cylinder 5, which provides a check valve opened in a compression stroke, opens and closes a main flow path connecting the oil chamber S1 with the oil chamber S3 outside the cylinder 5 via an oil chamber S4. Accordingly, a device, in whichever case of an extension stroke and a compression stroke it may be placed, obtains a flow of working fluid in one direction, and damping force can be stably generated by preventing cavitation from being easily generated. |
