PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film having excellent low-temperature thermal shrinkability and useful as a shrink label, etc., by melting a polyester composed of a specific acid component and a specific glycol component, cooling the polyester in the form of a film, drawing the film and cooling the product. CONSTITUTION:A polyester consisting of an acid component composed of (A) 97-60mol% terephthalic acid and (B) 3-4mol% isophthalic acid and a glycol component composed of (C) 100-20mol% 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and (D) 0-80mol% aliphatic glycol is melted, extruded through a die, cooled at a cooling rate of >=70 deg.C/sec to form a film, drawn 2.5-5 times along at least one direction at 65-115 deg.C and immediately cooled at a rate of >=0.1 deg.C/sec to obtain the objective film. The average gradient of the film is preferably <=7%/ deg.C in the shrinkage range of 10-30% in a temperature-shrinkage curve along the longitudinal direction or transversal direction of the film after leaving the film in hot air for 20sec.
