PURPOSE:To increase the strength of an electrolyte tile after volatilizing a binder and to prevent the breakage of the electrolyte tile caused by shrinkage due to thermal cycles by placing a fiber layer between electrolyte tiles. CONSTITUTION:A fiber layer containing 40 wt% or more fibers is located between paste type electrolyte tiles tor molten carbonate fuel cell. Layers 2 comprising carbonate and retaining powder are placed on both sides of the fiber layer 1, or the fiber layers 1 are placed on both sides of the layer 2 and the layer 2 is placed on the outside of the fiber layer 1. Thereby, the strength of the electrolyte tile after volatilizing a binder is increased and the breakage of the tile caused by shrinkage due to thermal cycles is prevented. |
