PURPOSE:To impart excellent corrosion resistance against the salts in ferrocon crete to the title steel by singly or compositely plating one or >=2 kinds among Ni, Ni-P, Ni-Zn, Ni-Al, Ni-Cu, and Ni-Cr on the steel surface. CONSTITUTION:One or >=2 kinds among Ni, Ni-P, Ni-Zn, Ni-Al, Ni-Cu, and Ni-Cr are singly or compositely plated on the surface of a steel for ferroconcrete. The total thickness of the platings is controlled to 5-200mum. A chemical conversion coating layer is provided, as required, on the plated layer. Since the steel has excellent resistance to corrosion due to the salts in the concrete, the safety and durability of a structure can be improved.
