PURPOSE:To provide safety and ease of getting in and off a car particularly in rainy weather by automatically setting an optimum driving posture set by a driver getting in the car. CONSTITUTION:A posture setting mechanism of a FR seat STFR is constituted from a slide mechanism 100 for driving back and forth the seat STFR relative to a vehicle floor, a front height adjusting mechanism 200 for drivably lifting the front portion of a seat cushion SCFR, a rear height adjusting mechanism 300 and a reclining mechanism 400 for a seat back SBFR. When a driver goes up and down, the presence of driver on the driver seat is shown and a door is opened so that equipment comprising the steering seat STFR on the vehicle is driven to a predetermined position. Thus, the driver can get out of the car safely and easily. When the driver closes the door to use the car after seating on the driver seat, the posture information of the equipment on the vehicle is read out by a memory means for automatic setting. This is a position set by the driver before he gets out of the car. |
