PURPOSE:To cut a spiral object without forming burrs and without deforming said object by deviating the focusing point of laser light from a cutting part and shielding the part except the cutting part. CONSTITUTION:Shielding plates 10a, 10b are interposed in a spiral object 4 to be irradiated with focusing laser light L so as to face each other at a distance equivalent to one pitch of the object 4 with the part of said object 4 in-between. The laser light L is then irradiated so as to deviate with the other parts except the cutting part 8. The part 8 is thus cut without forming unnecessary burrs in said part and without deforming the object 4. |
