ENGINE ABNORMALITY DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE

PURPOSE:To investigate a fault position without destroying an engine by judging that the engine is abnormal when the deviation of the analytic output of the detection signal of a vibration meter fitted the engine to be tested from a normal value is larger than a constant value. CONSTITUTION:The vibration value of a durability test pattern is different by operation steps, so normal values of vibration is recorded previously by the operation steps covering the entire frequency range of a 1/3 octave. The detection signals of vibration meters 2A-2D are amplified by amplifiers 3A-3D during durable test operation and inputted to a 1/3-octave analyzer 5. The signals are divided by specific frequency ranges through filters 5-1A and 5-1B of this analyzer 5 and inputted to a microcomputer 6 through a controller 5-2. Here, they are compared with the normal values and when the deviation is larger than the constant value, an abnormality detection signal is sent out to a microcomputer 7 for operation and the engine 1 stops operating.
