PURPOSE:To guide a vehicle efficiently by starting the guidance of the vehicle to a next target point when the vehicle meets specific requirements even if deviating from an expected course. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of a distance sensor 1 and an earth magnetism sensor 9 are inputted to a CPU 3. The CPU 3 finds the position of the vehicle on two-dimensional coordinates by sequential arithmetic, stores the position in a RAM 4, and also displays it on a display device 7 together with map information from a storage medium reproducing device 6. If the vehicle deviates from the run expected course, the CPU starts the guidance to a next target point by skipping the current target point as long as the vehicle meets the constant requirements. |
