PURPOSE:To reduce the starting torque and suppress the trouble of an electric motor by allowing a vortex type pump to be equipped with an impeller, pump casing for widely opening the front surface of the impeller, and a mechanical seal and arranging the driving shaft of a condenser operation type single phase induction motor in vertical form. CONSTITUTION:Adhesion of rust, sand, scale, etc., is prevented by setting the interval between an impeller 4 and a pump casing 2 wide by a vortex pump 1, and the starting torque can be reduced. Therefore, the need of a centrifugal switch is avoided by using a condenser operation type single phase induction motor having a small starting torque, as electric motor 6, and generation of trouble is reduced as a whole. Further, the operation with low voltage and low cycle is permitted, and when an engine generator, etc., are used for electric power source, fuel can be economized by throttling an engine throttle if necessary.
