PURPOSE:To expand the application of pyezoelectric ceramics in a new field where twisting osccilation mode is utilized by disposing oscillation piezoelectric elements having both lengths corresponding to one surface of a diaphragm and the other surface respectively so that their longitudinal oscillation direction cross with each other. making them oscillate so that they extend or contract simultaneously, and thus obtaining the twisting oscillation of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A pair of rectangular-shaped piezoelectric ceramics 1, 2 which osccilate in the longitudinal direction are prepared, one rectangular piezoelectric ceramic 1 is bonded on one surface of the diaphragm 3, and the other ceramic 2 on the other surface of the disphragm 3. The stretching osccilation mode in the same direction of the ceramics 1, 2 are generated simultaneously on the crossing axes. Accordingly, the diaphragm 3 bonded with the ceramics is bent (y1) to one direction along its thickness direction at both end parts of the one piezoelectric element 1 crossing with the other 2, and bent (y2) to the other direction along its thickness direction at both end parts of the latter element 2. By generating these bendings (y1), (y2) alternately, a so-called twisting oscillation (z) can be introduced.
