PURPOSE:To drive a recording electrode with high efficiency and at a high speed with a simple constitution by dividing the drive circuit into two groups, and executing the input action and the output action of a first group driver circuit and a second group driver circuit alternately and simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:During a period when a selection signal SEL is '1' in its logical value, in A-group drive 1st and 2nd circuits 41, 42 respective latches 1A are in a load state, and a transmission image data DT is fetched; on the other hand, in B-group 3rd and 4th drive circuits 43, 44, their respective drivers 2B come in the acting state, and they operates to form and output a recording electrode driving signal DTV based on an image data DT held in respective latches 1B. During the time when the selection signal SEL is '0' in its logical value, the drive circuits of both groups execute an operation respectively inverse to those mentioned above. Accordingly, unnecessary waiting time is eliminated, and the efficiency of the transmission of the image data DT and that of the driving of a recording electrode 10 can be improved.
