The invention relates to the arrangement of reinforcing plates in friction rings of clutch discs, these reinforcing plates being arranged in a ring on a larger mean diameter than the mean diameter of the friction rings. The reinforcing plates are beaded at their outside and inside diameters and anchored in these regions to the friction rings. As an additional captive-rivet connection, the reinforcing plates have rivet necks pulled out of them which are passed through corresponding openings in the opposite reinforcing plate and beaded there.
