<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an image display device including an active energy ray-curable composition, by which irregular liquid crystal display or formation of a dam/fill interface can be avoided even in a high-temperature high-humidity environment after curing a dam material and a fill material in the processes of applying the dam material in a periphery including a visible portion and of simultaneously curing the dam material and the fill material with active energy rays.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an image display device is carried out by using the following active energy ray-curable dam composition for a dam-fill process for lamination of a flat panel display (FPD), the composition comprising a (meth)acrylic polymer (A) having at least one polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond in average in one molecule, a photopolymerization initiator (B), and silica particles (C) having a surface modified with an alkylsilyl group. The method for manufacturing an image display device includes the steps of: applying a dam material in a periphery including a visible portion; and simultaneously curing the dam material and a fill material with active energy rays.</p> |
