<p>Title compds useful as intermediates for dyes drugs other chemical compds and, when contg. carboxylic groups, for polyesters and polyamides are prepd. by treating benzene or a benzene deriv. contg. at least one C-H bond, with O2 at pref. 100-300 degrees C in a liquid phase on the presence of a catalyst comprising (a) a palladium carboxylate and (b) a palladium diketocomplex and opt. a zirconium carboxylate, oxycarboxylate halide or oxyhalide.</p> |
