<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of an input key, by storing a KANA (Japanese syllabary) data with a KANJI (Chinese character). CONSTITUTION:A mode is set at a telephone directory mode by operating the (telephone) key 43 of a functional key input device 4 in an electronic equipment main body 1. By the above setting, the electronic equipment main body 1 can input (store) a telephone number, etc., or read out an inputted telephone number. When the telephone number is inputted, the name of an opponent is inputted in a Roman character with a key input device 5. An inputted Roman character is converted to the KANA, and is stored in a RAM14 transiently. At this time, KANA-KANJI conversion is performed by depressing the (conversion) key 41 of the key input device 4. A different KANJI appears, the next candidate character is selected by the operation of the conversion key 41, and when a desired KANJI is displayed, an (adoption) key 42 is operated. Then, a corresponding KANJI data is stored in a name buffer so as to correspond to the KANA data in the RAM14.</p> |
