<p>PURPOSE:To improve the production efficiency and quality of wire rods by concurrently drawing plural bar-shaped wire rods and winding the rods on a winding reel by setting prescribed tensions on the inlet and outlet sides of a roll, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Plural inlet side reels 6 having a common shaft 7 for a couple of upper and lower rolling rolls 2 and plural outlet side reels 5 fixed on a common driving shaft 13 are installed. When the rolls 2 are driven, every wire rod 1 is delivered from the inlet side reels 6 and the rolls 2 concurrently roll every wire rod 1. A braking device 8 for the reels 6 brakes the reels 6 by a constant force, so that a tension is generated in the wire rods 1 and slacks are prevented from forming. Breakdown or deformation of outlet side wire rods 15 are prevented because a tension, whose strength is smaller than a half of the yield stress and is larger than that of the inlet side tension, is applied to the rods 15. Both the production efficiency and quality are improved because of concurrent rolling of plural wire rods 1.</p> |
