PURPOSE:To obtain a picture of a high quality free from an uneven light quantity, by reading out data at every one horizontal line from a PROM in which a data which has measured an uneven light quantity of a liquid crystal display panel is written, and applying a voltage corresponding to the data to a common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A counter 20 counts the number of VCLK pulses and generates a signal 21 for showing a position of a horizontal line in the vertical direction of a picture. A PROM 22 uses the signal 21 as an address input, outputs a data signal 23, and a D/A converting circuit 24 generates a signal corresponding to the signal 23 and applies it to a common electrode 17. A data written in the PROM 22 is a correcting data which takes an inverse number by measuring an uneven light quantity in the vertical direction of the picture, and executing an A/D conversion, when a video signal of a prescribed time is inputted to a liquid crystal display panel. Accordingly, by applying an uneven light quantity correcting data corresponding to this horizontal line position to a common electrode, a picture of a high quality free from an uneven light quantity can be obtained.
