PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an inverter by absorbing the pulsation of the DC current of a PWM control inverter by a filter capacitor provided on the AC side of a diode bridge. CONSTITUTION:An inverter is composed of a 3-phase power source 1, a diode bridge 2 and a PWM control inverter 4 to supply a current to an AC load 5. In this case, a star-connected AC filter capacitor 6 is connected in parallel with the power source side. Pulselike currents flow phase capacitors 6, and smoothed average current flows to the power source side. Thus, the pulsation of the inverter DC side current is absorbed to the capacitors 6, and the AC current becomes a smooth value.
