<p>PURPOSE:To bind tow member uniformly and strongly, by heating only cut edge faces of both rubber-like cylindrical member to be bonded and then fix the faces by pressure. CONSTITUTION:Both cut edge faces 3c and 3d of belt-shaped rubber-like cylindrical members 3 and 3 at room temp. are heated by means of heaters 6 and 7 to activate partially only rubbers being neighboring to these both cut edge faces. Then, the both cut edge faces 3c and 3d of the rubber-like cylindrical members 3 and 3 are faced together and fixed by pressure. As this contact bonding is carried out before the temp. of the rubbers of both cut edge faces is lowered to the activation temp. or below, the rubbers of both cut edge faces are diffused into each other and the rubber molecules are entangled with each other. Adhesion can be thereby uniformly and strongly carried out in the width direction.</p> |
