PURPOSE:To perform a satisfactory control by varying the minimum value of a pulse width output in accordance with a control deviation, without repeating ON and OFF of an unnecessary pulse, when the deviation is large, and suppressing the hunting, when the deviation is small. CONSTITUTION:The titled controller is provided with a subtracter 11 for obtaining a deviation F of a set value A and a measured value B, and a ROM (read-only memory) 12 for outputting the pulse width output signal of an increase pulse C or a decrease pulse D by using the deviation F as an input address. Also, an output pulse value is stored in the ROM 12 in advance so that the minimum pulse width of the output pulses C, D is varied in accordance with whether the control deviation of the set value A and the measured value B is large or small. In such a way, when the control deviation F is large, namely, in the process in which the measured value B approaches the set value A, the minimum pulse width is made large and the number of times of ON and OFF of the output pulse is decreased, and when its deviation F becomes small, the minimum pulse width is made small, and a stable control can be executed.
