PURPOSE:To surely prevent a malfunction and to attain stable mode discrimination even at special reproduction by providing a means fixing a discrimination mode of a mode discrimination means to the discrimination mode at the preceding reproduction. CONSTITUTION:At the special reproduction, a normal reproduction flag coming to an input terminal 18 goes to a low level. Thus, an AND circuit 17 is closed to block the passing of an edge detection pulse from a monostable multivibrator 16. Since no clock pulse comes to the clock terminal of a D flip-flop 11 during the special reproduction, the D flip-flop 11 holes the mode discrimination signal at the preceding normal reproduction. Thus, a switch circuit 21 is fixed to the connection mode at the mode discrimination at the normal reproduction just before the special reproduction. Thus, the mode discrimination is not malfunctioned even at the special reproduction.
