APPARATUS FOR SHAPING AND CUTTING BOTH EDGES OF WORKPIECE

PURPOSE:To shape both sides of a workpiece individually and cut efficiently them by receiving the workpiece on a carrier and moving longitudinally and laterally it with endless belts. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece is transferred to a carrier 2 through a chute 1, a motor 26 is rotated by a phototube 27 so that a link belt 24 transfers the carrier 2 in the direction of arrow. The workpiece is moved laterally at the position of a transfer unit 5 by an endless belt 56 to have one end edge worked by a cutting die 3. Then, the carrier 2 is moved further in the direction of arrow and transferred at the position of a unit 6 in the opposite direction to said one by a belt 66 to have the other end edge worked. Finally the workpiece is discharged through the link belt 24.
