PURPOSE:To reduce loss and increase efficiency by connecting an anode of diode with an output end of secondary winding and a cathode side thereof with a transistor base through a resistance. CONSTITUTION:A power circuit in a ringing choke converter system is composed of a transformer T, a switching transistor (hereinafter referred to as Tr) 4, a secondary circuit-rectifying diode 5, a smoothing circuit 6, a diode 10 and a Zener diode 11, and the Tr4 is driven by a positive feedback from a feedback winding 3 to obtain output V0. In this case, a diode 12 and a resistance 13 are added between an output end of secondary winding 2 and a base of the Tr4. When the Tr4 is turned OFF, therefore, electric current is stopped because the diode 12 is driven in an opposite direction, and a loss of this apparatus can be reduced since only a resistance 7 suffers such loss.
