摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain high-precision and high-efficiency meosurements by processing outputs of sensor contacting a gear tooth flank surface of gear to be measured. T-axis encoder and 2-axis encoder with computing control apparatuses, such as microcomputers, etc. CONSTITUTION:A detector 38 is provided with a sensor 38 contacting with its end part with a gear tooth flank surface of a gear wheel 11 subjected to measurement. A T-axis driving mechanism 27 allows this detector 38 to make reciprocating motions along the T-axis running parallel to a tangent line of the work gear 11 and a Z-axis driving mechanism 32 allows displacement of the detector 38 in the Z-axis direction along a direction of tooth width of the work gear 11. An amounts of-displacement of the detector 38 by the driving mechanisms 27, 32 is detected by T-axis encoder 29 and Z-axis encoder 34 and the computing control apparatus 48 measures the flank surface of gear tooth bosing on these outputs of detection and at the same tine, controls a control apparatus 50 in such a way that a sensor 39 control apparatus 50 in such a way that a sensor 39 contacts automatically the flank surface.
