PURPOSE:To easily produce crystallized glass building material having relief pattern and excellent appearance, by filling glass powder having specific particle size in a mold having relief pattern, pressing the powder in the mold and subjecting the pressed powder having transferred pattern to crystallization heat-treatment. CONSTITUTION:Glass powder containing powder of finer than 200 mesh accounting for >=70% is filled in a mold having a relief pattern and pressed in the mold to obtain a pressed powder having transferred relief pattern. The pressed powder is subjected to crystallization heat-treatment to obtain a V-notched crystallized glass building material consisting of e.g. notched parts 1 and flat parts 2. The glass powder can be easily fused and integrated and the crystallization of the formed glass can be accelerated by this process to facilitate the production of even a large-sized crystallized glass building material. Since colored glass powder having arbitrary color can be freely used as the glass powder, the base color of the product can be freely selected.
