The invention relates to a vibrating grid for fractionating composite soil or debris mixtures and has the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of the fractionating process in the case of non-cohesive soils and of creating the possibility of screening composite soils interspersed with cohesive soils with simple means. This is achieved in that, by means of an additional elastic mounting, grid bars adjacent to a bridge which bears the vibrator and is connected to every second grid bar vibrate differently both in terms of their amplitude and in terms of their mode of vibration and phase position and in that the centre of mass of the frame is, furthermore, located between the plane of the grid bars and the plane, situated parallel to the latter, of the supports of the bridge on the frame (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
