The subject of the invention is an actuating device for windows, doors, gates, gratings, lifts or the like, with a hollow shaft (3) having two wormwheels (working wormwheel (4), safety wormwheel (4')) connected fixedly in terms of rotation to this, with a drive shaft (6) having a working worm (8) meshing with the working wormwheel (4) of the hollow shaft (3) and driving this, and with a safety shaft (10) arranged so as to be axially displaceable to a limited extent and having a safety worm (13) meshing with the safety wormwheel (4') of the hollow shaft (3), during normal operation the safety shaft (10) being driven by the drive shaft (6) and running idly, and in the event of a fault the safety shaft (10) acting as a self-locking blocking and catching device, as well as with a stationary housing (1) in which the shafts (3), (6), (10) are mounted. To make a follow-up of the wormgear largely constant and load-independent, there is provided a device which increases the internal friction of the actuating device and which is a tensioned helical compression spring (15) located on the safety shaft (10) and supported between a stop face on the safety shaft (10) and the housing (1). <IMAGE> |
