<p>Composite packages are made by spray coating the interior of a rigid hollow prefabricated casing with an appropriate adhesive and then extrusion blow moulding a thermoplastic film lining directly into the casing. Pref. the film parison is sealed at the end before probing the parison mandrel into the pack for inflation. The opening in the pack is pref. fitted with a snap-fit collar first. Process is used for mfg. packs with an impermeable lining of one or more layers of film and an external casing more suitable for printing, self-support, etc. Ensures a leak-proof lining more reliably than processes requiring fusion or other seals between the surfaces of pre-coated panels assembled to make a pack.</p> |
