<p>PURPOSE:To greatly shorten a required acclimatization period by using a carrier, the main surface of which consists of a porous material, as a carrier and impregnating separately prepd. sludge contg. anaerobic microorganisms in said carrier just prior to immersion of the carrier into waste water, thereby immobilizing the anaerobic microorganisms to the carrier. CONSTITUTION:This fixed bed consists of the carrier 3 which cleans the waste water by the anaerobic microorganisms held thereon. The anaerobic fixed bed to be used by being immersed in the waste water in a biological reaction tank is formed of said carrier. The carrier, at least the main surface of which consists of the porous material 1 such as non-woven fabric or ceramics is used for the carrier 3 at this time. The separately prepd. sludge 2 contg. the anaerobic microorganisms is impregnated into the carrier to immobilize the anaerobic microorganisms thereto just before the carrier is immersed into the waste water. As a result, biological membranes are formed from the initial period of the waste water treatment and the required acclimatization period is greatly shortened.</p> |
