PURPOSE:To prevent false judgement and false operation by finding a difference between a present value showing a present feed quantity of ink and a modified value showing a feed quantity of ink to be set through modification, and by making different the display manner of a part showing the amount of the difference from the display of the feed quantity of ink shown by the present value. CONSTITUTION:A density measuring device 1 is installed on the upper end side of a loading board 22, scans optically a small square printed face called a color patch, which is printed on the upper end side of paper 21 and consecutive in the lateral direction, compares the result of scanning with the data on a standard print density set beforehand for modification to find a modified value to be set, and gives this value to an ink quantity control device (IVC) 2 for each divided area. In IVC 2, a difference between a present value and the modified value is determined in addition to the display of the present value by each of display units 231-23n, and a part showing the quantity of the difference is added to the display amount of the feed quantity of ink of the present value. Besides, different ON-and-OFF states are prepared in accordance with the direction of the difference, and thus said part is displayed for each divided area by each of the display units 231-23n. |
