PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester resin composition, consisting of a specific polyalkylene terephthalate and specified polycarbonate and having excellent transparency as well as heat resistance, mechanical properties, e.g. impact resistance, etc., and melt fluidity in molding. CONSTITUTION:A composition, consisting of (A) 20-80wt.% polyalkylene terephthalate, containing >=50mol.%, preferably >=70mol.% ethylene terephthalate and having 0.6-1.2dl/g intrinsic viscosity in o-chlorophenol at 25 deg.C (hereinafter referred to as intrinsic viscosity) and (B) 20-80wt% polycarbonate, containing bisphenol A as a diol component and having 0.6-1.2dl/g intrinsic viscosity, prepared by drying both components, blending, kneading the components at 240-320 deg.C while melting using a single screw extruder, etc., stirring and kneading the blend in a molten state under reduced pressure and having 0.6-1.2dl/g intrinsic viscosity, 80-130 deg.C glass transition temperature and a single peak thereof.
