<p>PURPOSE:To securely recover toner in a magnetic brush developing machine by providing an unnecessary toner collecting means which forms a reservoir of a developer on the upstream side of a recording electrode in the moving direction of a photosensitive body and recovers unnecessary toner on the photosensitive body into the magnetic brush developing machine. CONSTITUTION:The unnecessary toner recovering means 40 is provided which forms the reservoir part C of the developer on the upstream side of the recording electrode 4 in the photosensitive body moving direction. Then, the developer 5 and an unnecessary toner image 11 are brought into contact with each other before image formation to recover the unnecessary toner into the magnetic brush developing machine 2 by utilizing electrostatic force, magnetic force, and scraping force for the developer 5. Thus, the unnecessary toner image 11 is recovered in the magnetic brush developing machine 2 after a prescribed purpose is attained, so a sharp toner image having no unnecessary toner image 11 is obtained on a photosensitive body 11.</p> |
