NEW MATERIAL:Bis[4-(3-maleimidophenoxy)phenyl]sulfone shown by the formula. USE:A raw material for a heat-resistant polymer having excellent flexibility. PREPARATION:Bis[4-(3-aminophenoxy)phenyl]sulfone is reacted with maleic anhydride in an organic solvent to give maleinamic acid, which is then dehydrated and subjected to ring formation to give bis[4-(3-maleimidophenoxy) phenyl]sulfone shown by the formula.
