PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of imperfect printing by determining the maximum to minimum differences sequentially from individual color differences, and by conducting the control of a print density sequentially from a color having the maximum difference to a color having the minimum difference. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit (CNT) 4 to which an output of a densitometer (DM) 2 is given comprises a processor (CPU) 41 such as a microprocessor, to begin with, a memory (MEM) 42 consisting of a fixed memory (hereinafter denoted by ROM) and a variable memory (RAM), interfaces (I/F) 43 and 44, and an input/output device (IOE) 45 consisting of a keyboard and a display. CPU 41 executes instructions stored in a ROM of MEM 42, conducts a control operation while making an access to the RAM of MEM 42 for necessary data, finds the result of decision on the control in accordance with set data from IOE 45 and a measurement output of DM 2 sent through I/F 43, delivers a control signal based on said result to a printer 5 through I/F 44, and thus controls the feed quantity of ink for each color. |
